Tasmanian Trout Tails
We did get some good fish at Little Pine Lagoon, and seeing the fish so close to the bank in ankle deep water did heat the blood, if not the body - a mid-summer snow storm at 5:00 in the morning is to be expected at this lattitude. Chris Bassano then took us down to Strahan on the west coast of Tassie, promising to find us some trout in the most unlikely of scenarios - the surf beach was only a good cast away! These trout were extremely fussy and wary even though they were actively feeding on the white bait fry. Peter really had to call on his vast experience to find the answers.
